GET IN TOUCH
I admit it. Sometime I covet glass. I can get glassy eyed over glass. Big gorgeous 1.2 aperture lenses. Yep. And then there?s lights. Lights and light modifiers. So many photo toys I want to play with!
At the Boston Pug this week, I got a chance to watch my friend Doug Levy give a preview of his Commercial Lighting class that he will present at Inspire Photo Retreats next month. He has gear. And he knows how to use it all. And the results are incredible. And inspiring.
So that?s on one hand.
Then on the other hand, I was listening this morning to Girl on Guy, Aisha Tyler?s insightful and always thoughtful conversations with other artists. This week she chatted it up with the filmmaker James Byrkit. The theme that resonated with me was the idea of working with less. The potential of bursting creativity that you can unlock when you have less to work with. When your choices are limited. And this too is inspiring.
