Mets fans at Fenway, meeting at the Baseball Tavern, during a rain delay. A Nora Ephron approved meet-cute if there ever was one. She lived in Boston. He lived in New York. Beers shared, phone numbers exchanged. And they took it from there.
Beautiful and unseasonably warm day at the Endicott Estate in Dedham. I love shooting in these grand old mansions – beautiful and lovingly crafted wood details making the perfect backdrop for beautiful and lovingly crafted wedding. They personalized the details: Chuppah was covered with the bride’s mother’s veil and her father’s tallit. Shannon’s bouquet was wrapped in cloth from her mother’s wedding gown. Being quite literally and figuratively embraced by their love. Street food tables, calling back to their first meeting at Fenway.
A day of so many smiles, everyone, and especially the groom, was grinning in the proverbial way: ear to ear. Such a team surrounding them, two families full of jokes, multiple nicknames and deep affection.
Pete?s laugh is, indeed, contagious. Shannon was beaming. They held a dual ceremony on the lawn of the estate, bringing in the bride?s Jewish traditions and the groom?s Catholic ones. Opting for an extended cocktail party, with small plates and big dancing (Hora and Mezinke Tanz) the guests gathered together around the property reveling in their time together.
And our Iguana TJ?s review of the wedding? Oh, I think he loved the whole thing.
