I first met Jamie when I had just moved back from SF and I connected with the Boston Derby Dames to photograph them for their calendar. At that point, she was skating for the Nutcrackers and she often wore a lightning bolt on her face. When Jillian inquired to our creative license on this before and after mini-marathon we were planning, I knew that Jamie would absolutely be up for modeling a more extreme look. Not only was she up for it, I think it really suited her.
Boudoir photography is about celebrating and a playing up your best features – highlighting your
natural beauty. Jillian Donovan created this look for Jamie. Jamie?s artistic life inspired Jillian to be more creative. She riffed off of some of the images from the Cover Girl Hunger Games campaign. Jamie had the perfect skin tone for the yellow and green with black eye shadows to create this dramatic eye-focused look. Strong winged false lashes a great accent to finish this look. Contour was placed under her cheekbone to give the face a more oval shape. When doing dramatic eyes, keeping the lips soft helps to keep the attention on the eyes, Jillian used pale golden color on Jamie?s lip.
I loved this look on Jamie! I used the Icelight to create a dramatic lighting, and really got the eyes sparkling.
