GET IN TOUCH
My Forth Worth rituals: cherry lime slush at Sonic, brisket and pickles at Cousins bbq, indulging in the extra time expected to ‘put my face on,’ channeling as much of my mother-in-law’s grace and charm as I can muster, and, of course, seeing the cast of Texans with whom I have now become good friends. In that cast of characters I include this lovely bride, K.
She is a most delightful person, and I was delighted for her when, during the reception of a wedding she shot with me in Dallas last December, she squeezed my hand and whispered that she herself was engaged.? I was thrilled and honored to be asked to photograph another photographer’s wedding, and tickled that as a matter of course – the entire day was scheduled around the best possible light.
A vintage garden party theme. Birdcages and flowers, Flowers and more birdcages. An easy romantic vibe.? After the ceremony at their familys’ chapel, the guests met in Aledo for a tented reception at The Parson’s Table. Picnic baskets and picnic blankets, dancing and laughing.? And they were sent off with rose petals to . . . B surprised K their honeymoon destination asking her to make sure to pack a swimsuit, a sweater and a passport. That’s my kind of adventure!
Destination? Joy, I’m pretty sure.
