wedding post card from – san francisco

Sometimes people get right to the point.
Amy, the bride, absolutely gorgeous in perfectly fit green dress, and Luis sharp in a navy blue suit met us at the beach to do a quick portrait shoot before we met their families in the park.  I was so thrilled to have been one of the very few people to be at this ceremony, at the edge of the city.

Overlooking the water, we perched on a clifftop with Amy and Luis, their parents, their siblings, and one nephew, to witness and to photograph their vows. The service culminated in heartfelt and teary-eyed exchange of vows, as the sun set behind Amy’s father, who doubled as their minister and officiant. A few delicious bottles of champagne, toted to the site in a cooler, were shared afterwards. And then they were off, to delight in an extraordinary dinner at Aqua.

An unsuspected bonus to shooting such an intimate wedding? Being asked to sign as a witness on their marriage license.

A few portraits taken just before and just after the ceremony.
